Madison has a great voice for this style of music.
Very enjoyable aural adventure.
Art Fin nails the contemporary sonic references.
"Sorry" has great gang vocals and killer guitar solo.
"Burrito" just makes me hungry.
Can't wait for "Departure From Venus" release next month. Favorite track: Sorry, Not Sorry.

Art Fin I enjoyed Madison Klarer's vocals and the catchy songs on this promising EP that is great from beginning to end. ROMP reminds me of pop-punk bands like Chumped, all dogs and SPORTS but also approaches the melodic indie pop of Alvvays. Also check out ROMP's 2016 debut full-length, "Departure from Venus" on Bad Timing Records. Favorite track: Drive.

scot moriarty i think i liked this record immediately. something about her voice, and the fuzziness, and the pretty yet gritty sound. it also helps that the songs are fucking good. Favorite track: Sorry, Not Sorry.

Jamie Sadler This EP is perfect: the production, the performances, the arrangements. ROMP remind me why music is SO important and I genuinely think they should be successful throughout the right thinking world! I L.O.V.E. THEM!!! maybe a little too much... Favorite track: Portrait.

Drive 03:02
Let’s pack our bags and meet at the corner of my street. Pick me up and we’ll drive until we hit the water. Let’s spend every night, discovering new places we can hide. From the world but never each other. Drive, drive. Keep me always in your mind. Drive, drive. Think about you all the time Meet me in the parking lot at 9. Wait outside my car, I won’t be long. Let the summer air keep you warm until I get there. Then we’ll drive a night, going anywhere, anywhere. Drive, drive. Keep me always in your mind. Drive, drive. Think about you all the time So much time. Endless Roads. Never slow down. Drive, drive. Keep me always in your mind. Drive, drive. Think about you all the time

I like to go out at night, with all the people you don’t like. I don’t give it shit what you think, your opinion don’t mean a thing. Hey, this is my way. Hey this is my way. You’re always talking shit and being a hypocrite. Close your eyes and shut the door, you’re a fucking barbie whore. Hey this is my way. Hey this is my way. Don’t call me, I won’t pick up. Ring a hundred times, don’t give a fuck. Burn the house down, I don’t care. Just get out of my hair. Hey this is my way. Hey this is my way. Hey hey hey, hey hey hey

Portrait 03:14
Now that the dust has settled I’m getting back into the rhythm of being alone. No longer do I cry over you. The only thing that still saddens me is that we’re strangers. I guess that’s what happens when people break up there is no more us. And I don’t want to be anyone’s anything. I don’t want to be anyone’s anything, anymore. I’ll answer to no one. Cry over no one. I’ll never feel second best again. Even though we’re apart and I’m saying all this shit You’ll always have my heart. Every single little bit. And I don’t want to be anyone’s anything. I don’t want to be anyone’s anything, anymore. I’ll answer to no one. Cry over no one. I’ll never feel second best again. Oohh And I don’t want to be anyone’s anything. I don’t want to be anyone’s anything, anymore. I’ll answer to no one. Cry over no one. I’ll never feel second best again. And I don’t want to be anyone’s anything.

I’ve taken my fair share of shortcuts to make up for the detours I’ve rode all along. My mistakes carved into my chest I’m begging you to tell me what to do. It’s the worst kind of regret, the kind that makes you question. The kind that makes you want to die and eats away your insides. I can’t tell where I’m at, I have no direction. I feel so stuck inside but I have no place to hide. You ought to know that I’ll break your trust. A wink and a smile could hurt so much. Stabbing backs and breaking hearts Was an art I wish I never learned from you. It’s the worst kind of regret, the kind that makes you question. The kind that makes you want to die and eats away your insides. I can’t tell where I’m at, I have no direction. I feel so stuck inside but I have no place to hide. Saying sorry doesn’t mean we were wrong We’re just learning how to better ourselves. And when you notice you’ve been home all along I know that you’ll be fucking singing this song.
